Working Principle

The CY2DP1502ZXI is a low-latency, double-data-rate clock tree buffer designed for high-speed clock distribution applications. It consists of eight data output lanes and four non-power-saving (NPS) output lanes. The outputs are low-latency outputs driven by the input clock, allowing for high-speed data transmission.

Each lane includes an adjustable input to output delay (IDOD), which is adjustable from 0ns to 8ns. This allows for fine-tuning of propagation delays and jitter performance. The CY2DP1502ZXI also includes a DCB (Duty Cycle Balancing) circuit that balances the input clock duty cycle to ensure that all outputs have the same duty cycle.

The CY2DP1502ZXI is powered by up to four supply voltages (1.2V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5.0V) and is compatible with a wide range of data rates. It has a maximum output frequency of 250MHz, making it suitable for high-speed data distribution applications. In addition, it has a low power consumption of 75mW/lane, making it an efficient device for clock tree applications.
