CY3267 is an LED drive evaluation board developed by Cypress Microsystems. It is designed to provide engineers with an easy and convenient means to experiment with different LED drive supervisory designs. The board is powered by a 6-volt input power supply, and provides two output channels of various current levels, each with a brightness control option. This enables users to quickly simulate a range of lighting scenarios without the need to design and build a custom solution.

Applications
CY3267 evaluation board was designed with a focus on LED drive applications such as dimming, color mixing, and various lighting effects. It is an ideal platform for testing numerous low power, high brightness LED drive modules. The board can be used to evaluate the performance of buck, boost, buck-boost and other LED drive architectures. It can also be used to create effects such as flicker and ripple control, which require an additional input signal.The board is also suitable for industrial and automotive LED drive applications. It supports a wide range of power supplies and offers over-voltage and over-temperature protection.Working Principle
The CY3267 evaluation board converts the supplied 6V DC power supply into adjustable currents of up to 2A. The board includes a controller IC, and a pulse-width modulation (PWM) circuit which adjusts the amount of current output for each channel. The board also includes an optical sensor, which can be used to measure the current output of the board, providing an accurate representation of the light output.When the board is connected to an external voltage source, it can sense the voltage level and adjust its current output accordingly. Similarly, the on-board dimmer switch can be used to reduce the amount of current output, allowing for gradual dimming or lighting effects.The board also includes a USB port, which can be used for serial communication and firmware updates.
