CY3272 is a kit application for Evaluations and Demonstrations of the Cypress EZ-USB development and software. The kit includes the PSoC 3, PSoC 5 Plus, and/or Cypress\'s FX2LP devices. These kits also contain support for debugging, programming, and validation of design-in applications such as battery charging, motion sensing, lighting control, humidity sensing, pulse width modulation, and power modeling.The CY3272 is a Multi-Device Platform Evaluation Board featuring devices from the PSoC 3, PSoC 5 Plus, and FX2LP portfolios of Cypress. It allows developers to evaluate multiple solutions for a very specific application. The Evaluation Board includes two Cypress EZ-USB development boards, the CY3682 and the CY3684, in a direct production View or an expandable View. The direct production view eliminates the hassle of expanding the View before programming. The board is also equipped with two USB ports and two HS (High Speed) USB-OTG ports, enabling connection to PCs for debugging and programming.The CY3272 evaluation board contains Silicon Labs\' CP2112 USB-to-I2C bridge, three NXP MCUs, and one 32-bit ARM Cortex A8 processor. It is highly versatile as it helps create multiple solutions, including battery charging, temperature sensing, and motion control applications. The board includes four ports for debugging, setting up, and programming applications as well as two ports for connecting to multiple external devices such as sensors and encoders.The working principle of CY3272 is based on the core functionality of the EZ-USB interface. The EZ-USB cores are designed to allow Controller Area Network (CAN), USB, and other peripherals to communicate with one another. The use of the CAN protocol allows a single bus to be used for multiple applications, including interfacing with general-purpose I/O devices, user-defined modules such as LED drivers and DC motors, and communication with external systems via SPI and other high-speed interfaces.The device integrates baseband functionality such as controllers and PHY for constructing a complete EZ-USB-compliant subsystem. The ARM CPU core can also be used to control the I/O peripherals as well as other events as they occur. Additionally, Cypress EZ-USB devices have the capability of controlling and working with many non-EZ-USB compliant communications protocols.The CY3272 evaluation board is also equipped with several EZ-USB drivers, including the EZ-Host driver. Using the EZ-Host driver, developers can quickly interface to many different types of devices from USB-to-Ethernet bridges, GPS receivers, RFID readers, USB to I2C, and USB to UART.
