CY3268 is an evaluation board used to evaluate and design LED drivers. It is an integrated solution with a configurable, high-efficiency, high-current, low-voltage, high-energy-density off-line switching regulator. The board contains an embedded low-voltage, high-frequency switch mode power supply that drives a field-programmable, high-brightness LED driver. The board is also equipped with an advanced Pericom PFC controller and a number of features that make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive, industrial and cloud applications.
The CY3268 evaluation board is designed to simplify the design of an LED driver for up to eight channels. It uses a Pericom PFC controller to provide power configurations and can manage up to four channels of PWM control. The board also has an on-board multi-channel synchronization interface, and a wide range of user-controllable settings including current and dimming outputs, dimmer frequency, dimmer clock speed and dimmer output voltage. The CY3268 evaluation board features an integrated secondary side synchronous rectifier (SSR) and power output stages, and the built-in software provides the ability to modify the input voltage and current threshold, as well as a PWM frequency range configurable in 25kHz increments. It also includes an adjustable, LED-based current-sensing output circuit, allowing up to 1000mA of current to be sensed. The board also provides a temperature measurement input, with a temperature compensation and programmable limit switching mode.
