CYW20736E Working Principle
The CYW20736E is powered by an 8-bit ARM processor that is responsible for handling medium and high layer link management, link protocols, and upper layer services. Additionally, the IC is also equipped with a direct base band modulator/demodulator (QAMMOD-QAMdem), a coder-decoder (CODEC), and a low noise amplifier (LNA).
To ensure reliable transmission and receive of data, the QAMMOD-QAMdem modulates/demodulates the incoming/outgoing wireless signals using a state-of-the-art spread spectrum technique based on DSSS and FHSS (IEEE 802.11). The CODEC is used to encode/decode high-level digital audio data (i.e. MP3, PCM, etc.) into a digital format suitable for transmission. Finally, the LNA is used to amplify the received signal, allowing the IC to detect signals at very low energy levels.
The CYW20736E also offers an integrated chip antenna as well as an on-chip balun.
