Another feature of the D2490 is its Zero Current Detection circuit, which prevents damage to the MOSFET switch from overcurrent surges. When the output current exceeds 0.1A, the D2490 detects the overcurrent situation and shuts off the output. When the current drops below 0.1 A, the D2490 will resume normal operation.

The D2490 is an excellent choice for a cost-effective and reliable DC load switch solution, with its wide range of applications and its protection against high-voltage transients and overloads. Although the D2490 does not offer the same level of current control or protection as more expensive solutions, it is an excellent choice for applications with lower requirements.
