Working Principle

The DA102J11S115QF is a double pole double throw (DPDT) switch. It has a double rocking plate configuration made up of two separate plates. When the switch is in the On position, both plates are pushed down together, engaging both electrical contacts simultaneously. When the switch is in the Off position, both plates are lifted simultaneously, disengaging their respective contacts. The switch can be also configured as a single pole single throw (SPST) switch by only using one of the two plates. When the switch is On, the single plate is pushed down and its associated contact is engaged. When the switch is Off, the single plate is lifted and its associated contact is disengaged. Electrical contacts for the switch are available in two different materials: Silver plated copper and Gold plated copper. Silver plated copper is best for use in low voltage applications and Gold plated copper is preferred for high voltage applications. Electrical contacts are rated at 15A/250VAC, 4A/125VAC, and 0.5A/36VDC.The switch is also dust and waterproof, rated to IP67 specifications. It has a temperature rating of -20°C to 65°C and is UL recognized and CE approved. It is available in several case sizes and colors. The switch is rated at between 600K and 1 million cycles of operation.
