Digital to Analog Converters (DACs) are components in electronic circuits that convert digital information into analog signals. The DAC081S101EVAL is an evaluation board designed to test the performance of the DAC081S101 device. The device’s SPI-compliant serial interface allows the user to control parameters such asFull-Scale, Power-Down / Standby, and Read-Back.

The DAC081S101EVAL board is fully assembled and tested with a built-in user interface and comes with an evaluation cable for connecting it to a host PC. The board also comes with an on-board, power-on reset circuit, which ensures that the digital-to-analog converter (DAC081S101) is held in reset immediately after power-on. In addition, the board includes an auxiliary control port by which an external signal can be provided to reset the device.

In order to make use of the DAC081S101EVAL board, several components are generally required, including a power supply, a logic-level voltage source, and a programming cable. The programming cable allows the user to configure and interact with the DAC081S101, such as setting the power-down / standby state, the Full-Scale output value, or the Read-Back state.
