Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) have been used in a variety of applications for many years, from industrial controls and prototypes to home automation, medical and laboratory equipment. The DAC7612UBG4 is a family of Digital to Analog Converters (DACs) from Texas Instruments and one of its products.

The DAC7612UBG4 is an integrated circuit which enables a digital signal to be converted into an analog signal. It comes with 8 output channels, with each one being capable of producing up to 12 bits of resolution. Each channel also contains a double-buffered latch which keeps the data in a steady state in the event of power interruption.

The DAC7612UBG4 offers multiple power supply configurations, including single, dual and triple supply. It consumes as little as 5.5 mW at a single 5 V supply and as much as 102 mW at a triple supply. The device’s layout is also designed to be in compliance with space-constrained applications.
