Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) are used to convert digital signals into analog signals. DAC7625PB is a medium-scale resolution precision multichannel digital-to-analog converter (DAC) integrated circuit that is designed for medium to large power applications. It is manufactured by Texas Instruments. The DAC7625PB is suitable for applications such as piezoelectric transducers and resonance frequency motors.

The DAC7625PB has an improved temperature tracking accuracy relative to its predecessor, the DAC7620PB. It features reduced noise and better transient stability, as well as increased reference tracking and data interface range. With a differential voltage output range of +4V to -4V, the DAC7625PB provides superior performance in terms of linearity, settling time and harmonic distortion, when compared to other DACs with similar output range. It also provides a high output voltage range of up to +10V and -10V and higher than the 4V to -4V range it has.

The DAC7625PB consists of two comparator circuits, an 8-bit DAC, an access bank switch and two 10-bit interleaved amplifiers. DAC7625PB is available in two versions: a standard version and a version with non-overlapping ramp limits. The standard version works best with mid-level applications, while the non-overlapping ramp limit version works best with applications that need high-precision control. The DAC7625PB is designed with a 10-bit data format and operates from a single voltage supply.

The DAC7625PB integrates two independent, quad, complementary outputs and is designed with both true bipolar output range and logic compatible output. The logic compatible output is designed to work in parallel with current-mode DACs. The DAC7625PB has a built-in switchable clock and a common reference sync signal which provides low pull up deviation and allows synchronizing multiple DACs to a single clock source. In addition, it has an asynchronous reset capability which is used to reset the DAC7625PB before it is powered down.

The DAC7625PB has a programmable steepness and offset compensation, which allows the circuit to produce high-accuracy, low-distortion sinusoidal and other waveforms. The DAC7625PB is ideal for precision applications such as feedback loops, temperature control, motor speed control, and audio systems.

The DAC7625PB integrates high-performance 10-bit comparator and 10-bit DAC for sigma delta analog to digital conversion. It has low power consumption, up to 145mA, with a maximum tolerance of ±0.2˚C. The DAC7625PB also has a high-impedance input gate which allows for a wide range of analog inputs and has a wide common-mode range of up to 70mV. The DAC7625PB is capable of achieving exemplary low noise levels compared to other sigma delta converters.
