DC059A-B Evaluation Boards are designed as a reference platform for the verification of the control boards in high frequency offline power supply applications. By simulating various DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS applications, DC059A-B can help verify the switching sequence, feedback control loop, soft start, operation range of parts, PCB layout, switching loss balance and power balance of the board.
DC059A-B Evaluation Boards use MCM101S power board as a synchronous boost topology. It uses the latest in SiC MOSFET technology and has a high-efficiency LLC resonant converter. This power board can be used to evaluate both DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS applications. It also has a high power density of up to 400W in a footprint of only 14.10x7.30 cm.
The DC059A-B Evaluation Board features a low-noise control board and a low-cost voltage regulator. The control board\'s PWM frequency can be varied for different load conditions, and the operating frequency of the voltage regulator can also be adjusted easily. The board also provides two adjustable current source references, one for the AC/DC (off-line) SMPS application and one for the DC/DC application. Furthermore, the board includes several operational amplifier and comparator circuits for controlling the PWM frequency, voltage threshold, and current limit.
The DC059A-B Evaluation Board allows engineers to evaluate the performance of their SMPS design over a wide range of load conditions. It features a low-output ripple and fast transient response.
