The DC1307B evaluation board is primarily designed for demonstration of DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) switched-mode power supplies (SMPS). It is a highly integrated development platform that makes evaluating and designing with a wide range of switching Converter Advisor high performance products, including programmable DC/DC regulators, programmable offline AC/DC regulators, digital isolated converters (DIAs), DPA and controller family members, simple.

The evaluation board provides all the features necessary for evaluating these converter solutions, including a 4-wire resistive touch control for setting parameters, LED indicators, and two additional I/Os for further control. It also offers an onboard USB-to-I2C interface for interactive configuration.

The DC1307B evaluation board provides designers the flexibility to quickly prototype and design single-stage or multi-stage linear, switching, and phase-adjustable-playback power supplies. It is equipped with fully configurable analog and digital outputs, as well as an input voltage range of 0 to 12V. It is compatible with many different types of topologies, including buck, boost, flyback, and forward converters. The user can easily adjust the output voltage, current limit, and dynamic current range through the touch screen. Furthermore, the output can be further protected with an embedded short-circuit protection feature.

The DC1307B evaluation board uses a high efficiency gate driver which enables efficient switching of power cycle modes. It also features an over-temperature shutdown protection circuit, allowing for reliable operation in the most dense and demanding applicatons.
