The DC1370A-E is a member of the versatile and efficient Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) Evaluation Boards addressed to design engineers and applied engineers. Specifically, the DC1370A-E can transform analog signals into digital code swiftly and accurately. The board enables direct digital conversion with 16 bits dynamic range over the temperature range of -40° to +85° Celsius and is perfect for applications such as spectrum analysis, monitoring, test, communication and industrial process control.

The DC1370A-E is equipped with 16-bit qualitative output which not only comes with fast crossing times but also, contains exceptionally low distortion. The board is integrated with an electronic interface, which allows for unproblematic connection with the internal MCU or other microcontroller. The rated input range of DC1370A-E spans from 0 V up to 2.048 V.

The DC1370A-E’s working principle is uncomplicated and straightforward - upon input, the analog values are stored in one of the two input buffers and converted by the onboard 16-bit ADC into digital codes. The digitalization process initiates after the input signal is transferred from the input buffer into the sample/hold ADC register. This signal is successively, transmitted through the multiplexer which contains different kinds of gain options so as to choose from. Consequently, the signal is moved onto the amplifier as well as the comparator before being coded into a numerical value and transmitted through the serial shift register and then, to the on-board processor.
