DC1341Bis a switching power supply evaluation board designed for evaluating the performance of flyback transformers. Thisevaluation board offers an optimized solution for efficient design of off-lineswitching power supplies. DC1341B can be used to create different types ofswitching power supplies such as high-efficiency or low-noise designs. It is aplug-and-play board, which makes it easy to use right out of the box.
DC1341B adopts a highly integrated MCU (microcontroller unit) controlcircuit that can easily be set up via the USB interface. This board includes awide range of features that enable users to cultivate their design skills forvarious power supply applications. For example, DC1341B provides users with userfriendlyoperating software, highly integrated control circuit, no-load and light-loadsensing, and over-current, over-voltage, and overtemperature protection.
The main components of DC1341B are its primary-side and secondary-sidetrigger switch, non-isolated DC/DC converter, 3.3V linear regulator, gate driver,sense resistor, and 4-Voltage sensing. The primary-side trigger switch is used tocontrol the power supply by turning off the switch when necessary. The secondary-side trigger switch is connected to the secondary winding of the maintransformer and rectifier circuit. It is used to regulate the output current ofthe power supply. The non-isolated DC/DC converter provides users with flexibilityto choose between two different types of power conversion, standby or fulloperation. The 3.3V linear regulator is used to maintain a stable output voltage.The gate driver is used to drive the switching device when the power supply isturning off and on, and it is also responsible for controlling the output currentand adjusting the switching frequency. Sense resistor is connected in series torestrict the output current of the power supply, and provides over-currentprotection. Finally, the 4-Voltage sensing is used to monitor the output voltageof the power supply.
