DC1545A-B application field and working principle

Introduction

DC1545A-B is an RF Evaluation and Development Kits Board developed by Digi-Key. It is mainly used to evaluate the RF-PA based on LMH5568 and LMH5569 of Texas Instruments. This board is mainly composed of an RF Test Board and PRISM Evaluation board, which is used to evaluate 700-2800MHz LMH5569 transmitter. This board is suitable for applications such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave and HyperLAN, etc.

Application Field

DC1545A-B is mainly applied in the following application fields:

  • Bluetooth mesh, Bluetooth low-energy, Zigbee
  • Z-Wave enablement and evaluation
  • Wi-Fi applications such as IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11n, 802.11a
  • LTE uplink and downlink
  • Multi-mode, multi-band protocol and wider bandwidths with EDGE, UMT, TD-SCDMA, TDD-LTE, etc.

Working Principle

DC1545A-B is composed of seven main blocks: power supply, voltage regulator, OTA, analog blocks, symmetrical bipass circuit, noninverting amplifier, and time lag circuit. The power supply block is used to provide operating voltage and current for other blocks. The voltage regulator block is to further provide DC voltage regulator for other blocks. The OTA block is used to generate output signals. The analog blocks are composed by noninverting amplifier, symmetrical bypass circuit, time lag circuit, and analog synthesis and demodulation circuit. These analog blocks are used to process signals for transmitter. The noninverting amplifier works by amplifying voltage signal to the desired level. The symmetrical bypass circuit is used to remove DC components or supply bypass circuits when coupling with other circuits. The time lag circuit reduces signal crosstalk by introducing a certain time lag between input signal and output signal. The synthesizer and demodulator circuit is used to convert analog signals to digital signals and vice versa.
