The DC1790A-D are evaluation and demonstration boards developed by Linear Technology Corporation (LTC), a famous American semiconductor manufacturer. The evaluation boards were designed to provide engineers and developers with easy access to the maximum performance of LTC products and also promote the development of creative solutions. In addition, the evaluation and demonstration boards can help the customer quickly choose and effectively evaluate the performance of LTC\'s analog and power management components and develop their own microcontroller applications. The DC1790A-D evaluation and demonstration boards can be used in a wide range of applications in the fields of energy conversion, industrial motor driver, automotive, renewable energy, aerospace, healthcare and security. These boards are designed for motor control, lighting, load monitoring, power management and energy conversion. Moreover, these boards can be used to evaluate various components, such as analog/digital converters, voltage references, motor drivers and various linear voltage regulators. The board consists of four evaluation and demonstration boards, DC1790A, B, C and D. DC1790A is a digital dual-full-bridge motor driver board, DC1790B is an industrial motor driver board, DC1790C is an automotive motor driver board and DC1790D is a photovoltaic (PV) DC-DC converter board. All boards use the LTC3640 dual full-bridge motor driver as the main device.The basic working principle of the DC1790A-D Evaluation and Demonstration Boards is to combine the LTC3640 motor drivers with other components that are configured for different applications. For example, the DC1790A board provides support for digital dual-full-bridge motor control, while the DC1790B board provides support for low voltage and high support voltage industrial motor control. The working principle is based on the LTC3640 dual full-bridge motor driver. The device consists of two bridge channels, each of whose outputs can be used to control up to two half-bridge valves. The device is designed to drive DC motors, which require up to 4A output current. The LTC3640 dual full-bridge motor driver also features a high switching frequency, low Rds(on) and integrated charge pump that allows for the operation of high frequency PWM. The device also includes advanced fault protection and diagnostics, such as over-temperature, over-current, under-current, and over-voltage protection. Furthermore, the device includes an internal current-sense amplifier and a current-limit comparator, which are used to detect and limit excessive motor current. In addition, the DC1790A-D boards feature various connectors, such as SPI or I2C, that allow users to develop various applications. Furthermore, the boards are provided with various control inputs, which enable the user to precisely adjust the performance of the components.
