The DC2229A-B is an evaluation board with a DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS application. It is specifically designed to evaluate Texas Instruments’ low-power, single-channel, 48 V to 1 V/5 V/12 V, 15 W low-output-voltage, active-clamp switching regulator. The board has been designed to meet industry standards for general purpose applications.This evaluation board has a wide input voltage range of up to 95 V AC and a wide output voltage range from 0.9 V to 25 V DC or up to 48 V AC. The board also has a low minimum input voltage of 13 V AC and an adjustable output current limit of 0 to 3.5 A.The board adopts the active-clamp topology, and the operating frequency can be optimized to suit specific application requirements. The output voltage can be adjusted by using the trimpot on the board.Various protections are included such as: over-temperature and over-current protection.
