The DC2240A evaluation board allows designers to explore the world of advanced AC/DC high-efficiency power supply design. The board has dual- and single-output versions of DC/DC converters, and can function as a half-bridge or full-bridge rectifier with a inductor or transformer output, respectively. This board is ideal for exploring the various features of advanced DC/DC converters, including EMI/EMC filters, synchronous rectification, active clamping, and current waveform shaping.
The DC2240A evaluation board is equipped with power-conversion components to demonstrate a variety of AC/DC, DC/DC, power factor correction (PFC) and other topologies. Examples of applications that can be studied include power supplies for computer workstations, smart grids, automotive applications, uninterruptible power supplies and LED lighting systems. It can also serve as a reference design to explore the various parameters required for power-conversion solutions.
The DC2240A evaluation board operates in two different modes to provide the user with different power-conversion capabilities. The first mode is known as the isolated mode, which uses a transformer as the output element.
