The DC750A-D is a high-performance, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) featuring low power, low noise, and superior throughput. Featuring a patented, four-channel design, the DC750A-D is well suited for a wide range of applications in industrial, communication, medical, automotive, aerospace, and transportation. It features a 12-bit resolution, 8-bit conversion resolution, and a sampling rate of up to 105 MSPS.
The DC750A-D evaluation board is designed to provide comprehensive support for evaluating the performance and features of the DC750A-D ADC. It contains a four-channel, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter which provides an analog input range of 0V to 5V. The data acquisition elements include 2 on-board DACs and 2 digital signal processing (DSP) cores, enabling true sampled data signal processing. The board also provides two synchronized proces-sing paths for capturing data and/or performing signal processing on a single data stream.
The working principle of the DC750A-D is based on successive approximation. As part of this technique, the analog input signal is compared with an internal reference voltage in an internal capacitor array. When the comparison detects that the voltage of the reference and input signals are equal, a counter is incremented, and the digital output value is determined by the count. This process is then repeated until a digital output is generated.
The DC750A-D evaluation board supports 10 different programmable gain amplifiers as well as adjustable input settings, which can either be set manually or adjusted using a GUI. It also supports an optional input buffer for driving external circuitry and for providing enhanced input protection against high-frequency noise. The evaluation board also offers an external trigger, enabling users to synchronize two peripherals, and it comes with waveform-monitoring functionality and selectable digital filter functions. Additionally, the board comes with a USB-based, graphical user interface that allows users to set up configurations using a selection of GUI elements.
