DD50SU Application Field and Working Principle

The DD50SU is a 50-pole type D-sub connector, an example of a D-subminiature family. It is used to connect multiple pins to another device in high current applications. Some applications that regularly use the DD50SU include, but are not limited to, high-density motors, network systems, memory cards on game consoles, and flat panel displays. It can also be used as a power switch for power supplies, cable connecter displays, and home audio systems.

The structure of the DD50SU is composed of several parts that are designed to be securely mounted into place, while providing necessary insulation. This includes a strain relief, metal shell, contact holder, and three rubbers that provide sealing and cushioning. The metal shell provides protection from dust, debris, humidity, and other environmental factors that can cause corrosion. The contacts in the DD50SU are made of 2mm gold-plated phosphor bronze, making them suitable for long-term use in the most demanding applications.

The working principle of the DD50SU is that each pin is placed in its own individual contact, which is connected to an insulated female socket.
