The DEV-13229 is an Evaluation Board - Embedded - MCU, DSP from Texas Instruments. Its primary application is for developers needing to quickly and easily evaluate, prototype, and develop application code for TI\'s infrastructure and communications Power Management IC devices. This Board is especially useful to those developers needing to implement new designs quickly without needing to develop their own prototype techniques.The DEV-13229 includes a high-speed microcontroller (MSP430F149) and a TI DSP (DRV8711). The microcontroller on the board is designed for power control and motor control applications. Its MSP430F149 processor has advanced network and serial communications protocols (including I2C, CAN bus, SPI, UART, and more) and runs up to 28MHz with low power consumption. The DRV8711 DSP is designed for motor control applications and includes 32-bit/64-bit floating-point arithmetic unit, 90V DCPMM, and integrated DRV8711M motor control ICs.The DEV-13229 features a built-in power regulator and power-on circuit. This power regulator can be used to power the board with either 3.3V battery or VDD inputs between 4.5V to 15V. The power-on circuit monitors the VDD input voltage and will start operating when the voltage falls within the operating range.With the DEV-13229 Evaluation Board, developers can quickly and easily debug, develop, and evaluate application codes for MSP430, DRV8711, and other TI\'s Motor Control ICs in a stand-alone form. The board has a special PWM pin that can be configured to output a user-defined PWM signal for controlling applications that require pulsed power. The DEV-13229 also features built-in functions such as Analog/Digital Converters (ADC/DAC), Timers, and Comparators for fast and reliable development.The DEV-13229 Evaluation Board is an easy-to-use platform for developers to quickly build and evaluate real-time motor control applications.
