Diodes – Bridge Rectifiers

Working Principle

A bridge rectifier is an array of four diodes connected in a bridge circuit to rectify AC voltage to DC voltage. As the AC voltage alternates between positive and negative values, each diode will be in either its forward or reverse biased states. Any current that is forced through the reverse biased didn\'t will be blocked, however, any current forced through the forward biased diode will be allowed to pass.
