DK-LM3S9D96 Application Field and Working Principle

All of these features make this board suitable for performing a number of tasks for data acquisition, motor control, and security or safety-critical applications.In terms of working principle, the DK-LM3S9D96 works by utilizing a high-level programmable system-on-chip (SoC) that provides basic system components like memory, processor cores, peripheral controllers, and I/O devices. This SoC is powered by the LM3S9D96 device, a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 based MCU, which is a key component that provides the capability for connecting with external devices and performing signal processing operations with a low power consumption. The board’s power supply block provides power for both the SoC and all on-board modules such as accelerometer, Bluetooth 4.0, Zigbee, and Wi-Fi modules.Also, the board is equipped with a peripheral board that has signals connected via routing trace to the main CPU section which provides interfacing with external devices via the I/Os on the main board. This peripheral board has two independent power supplies, one for the main system and one for the peripherals. It also integrates four on-board modules, eFuse, current and voltage monitor onboard., ADC, and a JTAG header. The ADC module can be used to measure analog signals such as temperature, motors speed, or pressure. The JTAG header can be used for debugging or programming the board, while the eFuse module is used to read and update the board\'s hardware configuration. The DK-LM3S9D96 has a comprehensive debug and development environment that makes debugging and programming easier even for beginners. It supports the various development environments of TI: Code Composer Studio (CCS), Code Generation tools, and also 3rd party development environments like Keil, IAR, and GCC. Furthermore, users can easily access their projects and software via the convenient Launchpad interface.
