DL4937-13

When direct current flows through the anode, it is passed on to the cathode and vice versa. This is known as forward biased, meaning the current flows in one direction.

When reverse biased, meaning when the negative voltage is greater than the positive, the DL4937-13 acts as a barrier and does not let current pass. This can be useful for protection against overvoltage, short-circuits, and inductive loads spikes.
