Film Capacitors
Film capacitors, also known as plastic film capacitors, polyester film capacitors, mylar capacitors, or plastic film dielectric capacitors, are components built using a dielectric film with electrodes on either side that are rolled or folded into a compact real estate. DLR1P1J-F Application Fields and Working Principle
The DLR1P1J-F film capacitor is a safety rating type product that meets the requirements of both IEC60384-14 and ENEC-C5. It is designed for high voltage and provides a high reliability in regards to its air insulation performance and strength.

The working principle of the DLR1P1J-F relies on two metal plates that are placed on either side of a plastic film. This film is then rolled or folded and heat-sealed to form the complete structure of the capacitor. The electrical field between the two metal plates forms an energy field that stores energy in the form of electrons. When power is connected, the capacitance is maximized and a current is allowed to pass. In this way, the capacitor eliminates or reduces the AC noise passing through the circuit.
This type of film capacitor also has certain voltage limitations. The maximum operating voltage is 250VAC or 400VDC, and the breakdown voltage is up to 500V. Furthermore, the dielectric constant of the DLR1P1J-F is 4.25 and its temperature range is -40°C to +105°C. The capacitance ranges from 0.1uF to 1000uF.
