Common Mode Chokes (CMCh) are a type of electronic component designed to reduce the coupling of common-mode signals (cm signals) on power and data lines, while blocking DC signals. The design of a CMCh is such that as the frequency of the cm signal increases, the inductance of the choke (or the resistance of the transmission line) increases, thus reducing the amplitude of the signal.The DLW21SN121SQ2L is a common-mode inductor, specifically designed to block cm signals and reduce common-mode noise in the data lines of industrial equipment. It offers a large range of inductance values, up to 25mH, which enables it to be used in many applications.The DLW21SN121SQ2L is used in many different applications. In the automotive industry, the DLW21SN121SQ2L is used to reduce common-mode noise in the CAN (Controller Area Network) and LIN (Local Interconnect Network) data lines. In telecommunications applications, the DLW21SN121SQ2L can be used to reduce common-mode noise in Ethernet and Fiber Optic data lines.The working principle of the DLW21SN121SQ2L is fairly simple. The inductor stores energy in a magnetic field, which is released when the cm signal passes through it. This energy is dissipated as heat instead of being passed on to the next junction. As the frequency of the cm signal increases, so does the inductance of the choke, thus reducing the amplitude of the signal. Since the DLW21SN121SQ2L is designed to block DC signals, the dc signal is blocked and the cm signal is dissipated as heat, thus eliminating any interference.The DLW21SN121SQ2L is an ideal solution for noise reduction in a wide variety of applications. Not only does it provide high levels of inductance, but it also offers superior EMC performance.
