The DM74AS240WM is an octal bus transceiver device, with three powerful features that enable it to work. In logic applications, it functions as an eight-bit bidirectional transceiver providing non-inverting 3-state output enable control. The external busy feature control output enable for each of the eight channels (OE1–OE8). It implements this control with internal steering network and level-sensitive latch for each of the eight transceiver positions. In addition, it provides an active-low access input (ACC) for externally controlled data flow functions with parity/data starvation capabilities.
