A pressure sensor, also known as a pressure transducer, is an electronic device which converts pressure into an electrical signal. The DPH-101 is one of the most commonly used pressure sensor in the market today. It is a capacitive-based pressure sensor which converts applied pressure into an electrical signal.

Application Field

The DPH-101 pressure sensor is used in a variety of application fields such as automotive, marine, industrial and medical. In the automotive industry, these sensors are used in tyres to measure the pressure in the tyre and alert the driver when the tyre pressure is too high or too low. In the marine field, these sensors are used to measure the water depth and pressure in order to determine if the vessel has reached its destination. In the industrial sector, these sensors are often used to measure the pressure of liquids and gases in pipes and process control systems. Finally, these sensors are also used in medical applications to measure blood pressure and respiratory rate.

Working Principle

The working principle of the DPH-101 pressure sensor is based on the principle of capacitive sensing. This sensor works on the basic principles of a capacitor. When two plates of a capacitor are close together they form an electrical layer between them. This layer is called the dielectric and it can be used to measure the amount of pressure on the plates. When the plates are pressed together, the dielectric changes and this change in capacitance is converted into an electrical signal.

The DPH-101 utilizes an on-chip ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) which is optimized for pressure sensing and compensated for temperature drift. This ASIC contains all the necessary circuitry for pressure sensing and is capable of performing all the necessary calculations and conversions to provide an accurate pressure reading. The ASIC also contains the circuit necessary for temperature compensation.

The DPH-101 is capable of providing high accuracy pressure readings as well as temperature compensation. This makes it ideal for use in a variety of applications where accuracy is required. This sensor offers fast response times and low power consumption, making it suitable for mobile applications.
