Pressure Sensors, Transducers
Pressure sensors and transducers are devices used to measure and/or respond to changes in physical or environmental forces such as temperature, pressure, moisture, flow, light and sound. They detect and measure pressure, and are used in a variety of industries to monitor and control industrial systems. The DPHT102-M5-R is a pressure sensor designed for hazardous areas, often found in offshore and oil & gas applications. The sensor has a digital output signal, and is capable of measuring pressure up to 15,000 psi in compression or up to 30,000 psi in tension. The sensor is resistant to thermal shock, vibration, and extreme environments, and is UL listed Class 1, Division 1/2 approved. The working principle of the DPHT102-M5-R is based on the piezoresistive effect. This effect occurs when an electric current passes through a semiconducting material subjected to mechanical deformation. The force applied to the material causes a resistance change, which can then be measured. The DPHT102-M5-R is made up of a Wheatstone Bridge, which forms the pressure sensor, as well as support electronics that amplify and condition the output signal. The Wheatstone Bridge inside the sensor is made up of four strain gages mounted on a diaphragm or flange that detects the pressure. The resistance of each strain gage changes proportionally with the change in the pressure applied to the diaphragm. The four strain gages are connected in a Wheatstone bridge circuit, allowing the sensor to use the measured voltage drop across resistor to measure the change in pressure with an output signal that is linear with pressure and temperature. The amplifier circuit amplifies the output signal, providing a stable low-level signal, when compared to the direct output from the bridge circuit. The output signal is also conditioned so it can be easily read by any device with an analog to digital converter. The DPHT102-M5-R is capable of measuring absolute, barometric, compound, and differential pressures, and can be used to monitor pressure changes in a system. It is suitable for use in hazardous areas, and can be used in a variety of industries, including oil & gas, automation, military, and aerospace. The advantages of the DPHT102-M5-R are its high accuracy, digital output, long life, and resistance to harsh environments. Additionally, its compact size allows it to be installed in tight spaces. This makes the DPHT102-M5-R an ideal solution for applications in hazardous areas that require both safety and accuracy. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
