DPS55-M

DPS55-M is a power adapter which provides AC/DC desktop, wall application fields. It has the ability of converting the energy transmitted in the opposite direction which is usually requested for some device or system. It is very efficient to transfer the energy less than 5W.The powers delivered from the DPS55-M provide an excellent voltage and frequency control with high efficiency and stable output. It provides constant voltages for its load and protects the output against over current and over voltage.DPS55-M works on the principle of being a linear voltage regulator. It is necessary for all linear regulators to have at least three terminals. These terminals are plus/minus line, the reference voltage level and feedback level.The plus/minus line is used to power the device. The reference voltage is usually at ground or some other stability level which is externally set or programmed. The feedback level is actually the output voltage which is compared with the reference voltage level. The DPS55-M has a linear adjustable output range from 4.2V to 5.5V and this range can be adjusted with a POT. It has an important feature of built in thermal protection, which implies that it can reduce the output current when the temperature rises. This is to improve the efficiency of the chip and to protect the chip from overheating. In normal working conditions, the power adapter is designed to limit the output current when the internal temperature rises. It also has an inbuilt short circuit protection mechanism and voltage regulation to prevent the output voltage from exceeding 5.5V. DPS55-M has an inbuilt overload protection to reduce the power consumption if the voltage drops from the required voltage level. This protection reduces the risk associated with operating an AC/DC power adapter.Overall, DPS55-M is designed to ensure that the output is always within a specific range and voltage fluctuations are reduced to the minimum.
