In stepped mode, it can be operated in linear, exponential or conical delay transition. In single-shot mode, the output pulses are triggered by an input signal applied to any of the four inputs. The outputs respond with an input signal delay which is dependent on the RC (Resistor-Capacitor) circuits connected to the amplifier/sampler.

The total delay from one output to the next is determined by the RC values, and the trim pots control the relative delays between channels. The outputs are amplitude and rise time adjustable, providing a means to optimize the pulse transition for all applications. In stepped mode, the delay is modified without any RC components.
