DS1044R-25+ is a voltage-controlled high-speed programmable delay line designed to provide a precise and time accurate delay of up to 25.30ns over a wide input voltage range from 1.25 to 5V. DS1044R-25+ is housed in a 8-pin DIP package in a wide range of applications for include clock & timing delay lines, frequency divider, signal routing and pulse extension. This delay line is very flexible in that it can be programmed to adjust the delay within 3 discrete delay ranges of 0.30 to 3.27ns, 3.27 to 15.30ns, and 15.30 to 25.30ns with steps of 0.40ns.
The working principles of the DS1044R-25+ Delay Line are based on charge storage technique. The line consists of a CMOS transfer gate array, with 5 control signals and a buffered clock signal. The output signal is delayed relative to the clock input by the control signal. The delay is set by the control inputs, and the output will be a pulse which is determined by the clock input. The delay line also features a high-impedance buffer providing wired-or functionality, in which multiple delay lines can be cascaded together.
