The DS1232+ PMIC Supervisor integrates five management functions which include an LDO, a supervisor, a charge pump, a trickle charger and a low dropout linear regulator. The functions are all controlled by the integrated controller and the following Working Principle will explain in detail how each function operates:LDO (Low Drop Out Regulator)
The LDO regulator is designed to maintain the output current level under different load conditions. It is also integrated with an over-current protection feature that protects the system and allows it to be used in applications involving high current levels. The operating range of the LDO is 2.2V to 5.5V, depending on the design.Supervisor
The integrated supervisor is designed to monitor the voltage levels of the system. It is capable of generating reset pulses, which allows the system to be rebooted whenever a fault occurs. It also supports overvoltage and undervoltage protection, helping improve system stability. The operating threshold range for the supervisor is 0.8V to 5.5V, and it is programmed with a 6V detection margin.Charge Pump
