It is a Hi-Rel/Extended Temperature PMIC (Power Management IC) Supervisors, which is ideal for general purpose, industrial and automotive applications that require a controlled reset for safe operations or for latch-up protection. This part is a dual supervisor with reset control and a watchdog timer that provides a flexible and cost effective solution for any microcontroller-based system. The DS1233AZ-10+T&R provides a reset pulse, generated from an internal RC oscillator, to the reset pin of an MCU or any other integrated circuit during system power supply conditions. The reset output is guaranteed to remain valid while the power supply conditions exceed a specified threshold and the watchdog timer, when enabled, is reset. The DS1233AZ-10+T&R part has an adjustable reset timeout period which can be programmed between 4 to 255 seconds, which remembers up to 255 reset pulses due to power failures. When the threshold voltage is exceeded, the voltage regulator shuts down, the reset output is set to a high impedance state, and the watchdog timer is reset. The watchdog timer will remain reset until sufficient voltage recovers or a timeout event occurs, which will generate a lockout signal to reset the watchdog timer. The DS1233AZ-10+T&R has an open-drain reset output, and is designed to drive an LED indicator as a visual indication of processor reset. The DS1233AZ-10+T&R also offers an overvoltage threshold which will generate an interrupt request upon detection of an overvoltage condition. The reset output can also be driven in the active or standby mode.
