When the power supply voltage falls below the reset minimum threshold, the RESET pin is pulled low and the reset timer will start counting down. When the timer reaches the preset reset time, the reset terminates and the system is restarted.The second function of the DS1815-20/T&R is the power-on reset. This function is used to ensure the correct initialization of the system, even when power is cycled. When the POR pin drops below the voltage threshold preset by an external resistor, the RESET pin is pulled low, which causes the system to be reset.
