The DS1815R-10/T&R is a robust and reliable 3-pin supervisor IC designed to monitor the power supply voltage of many digital systems. When the power supply voltage is below the trip point voltage, the reset output pin is activated which forces the reset line low and initiates a system reset. The reset threshold can be further adjusted with a second resistance-capacitance network.

The DS1815R-X/T&R features an internal comparative element which functions to open or close the reset output. The current required to activate this gate is typically between 200µA and 300µA. This allows the TD1815R-X/T&R to provide a relatively low power reset control to the system. In addition, a power-on reset is provided when the power supply voltage drops below a predetermined trip point voltage, usually around 100mV.
