DS28E10P+T is one of the most secure, non-volatile memory solutions available. The unique architecture offers three different security layers, allowing advanced protection for user data and critical transactions. It features ECDSA authentication protocol to provide robust, secure authentication and a true random number generator (TRNG) for random circuit protection.
The DS28E10P+T is designed to operate on a five-volt logic level. The two main operating modes are the active mode and the sleep mode. The device is powered from a single supply through the power on/off pin. When this pin is logic low, the device is in active mode and all its functionality is available. When the pin is logic high the device is in sleep mode and the device will consume minimal power.
The internal nonvolatile memory is organized as 4 Kbits of EEPROM memory with 32 bytes per memory page. Data can be written/erased by EEPROM bytes with a write/erase latency of 3ms/100ms respectively. It is also possible to set a write protect bit on any page, making that page permanently write-protected. The write-protect bit is always set during the power-on reset.
The DS28E10P+T features an advanced Cryptography-based Open Standard (COS) Engine that enables high-speed ECDSA and Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) signature and message exchange algorithms. The signature is checked using conventional Triple-DES and SHA-1 hashing and checksum protocols, providing secure authentication and verification of data.
