DSC2033FI2-F0031 is a high frequency CMOS oscillator that operates in the traditional range of 1 to 99MHz. It features a wide supply voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V, an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius, a low phase noise of -105dBc/Hz and low jitter of 0.5ps. With an integrated frequency synthesizer, the DSC2033FI2-F0031 has the flexibility to generate up to 20 frequencies from a single device. In terms of its working principle, DSC2033FI2-F0031 uses resistor bank for precise frequency tuning. The oscillator works on the basis of a dual-modulus prescale and a digital phase-locked loop (PLL). The chip has a high speed digital divider and a precision analog prescale both connected to a frequency synthesizer, which controls the output frequency. The frequency synthesizer compares the output of the analog prescale with the output of the digital divider, and adjusts the feedback frequency to generate the precise frequency. Furthermore, the frequency can be tuned in increments of frequency steps, allowing precise output frequency control.
