Application Field
The DSL05-016SC6 is a unpolarized bidirect-voltage protected transient voltage suppressor (TVS), which is specifically designed for high-voltages and fast response applications. The TVS protects two lines simultaneously from damage when the line voltage is above the specified maximum working voltage.
DSL05-016SC6 is suitable for commonly used line protection in electronics system protection such as digitalized products, mobile products, switch power supply products, etc.
Working Principle
TVS technology is based on avalanche breakdown or snapback. A voltage above breakdown will be clamped by a transient voltage suppressor when subjected to a high voltage, typically an electrostatic discharge. The principle of operation of a Zener diode is similar to the avalanche diode. However, the clamping voltage of the Zener diode is much lower than that of the avalanche diode.
DSL05-016SC6 is usually based on a "clamping action". Through the upper and lower breakdown of the so-called "structure", The pressure drop capacitance can charge and discharge at a high speed, so that the fast high pressure can be changed to the specified lower voltage, and the overcurrent can be quickly absorbed, thereby preventing further damage to the protected device.
