The E2EH-X7D1 5M proximity sensor is used to detect the presence or absence of an object up to a 5 m distance. It detects objects or obstacles based on the electromagnetic flux that is generated/radiated from the target object. When an object or obstacle enters the electromagnetic field, the existing electromagnetic flux is disturbed which triggers the output of the E2EH-X7D1 5M.

The E2EH-X7D1 5M uses a switching principle (ON/OFF) to detect the presence or absence of the target. It is available in a variety of package types including moulded, flush and non-flush with different voltage options ranging from -10 V to +10 V. The E2EH-X7D1 5M is designed to be dust and waterproof, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
