Detailed Functional Description

The E5LC-6 is a three-phase current meter with seven-digit displays. It is an integrated arithmetic device, with the circuit composed of built-in A/D converters, analog signal processing circuitry, digital signal processing circuitry, built-in isolation amplifiers, logic circuits and seven-digit display output circuitry. The meter has two types of power supply that can be used: (1) a DC 12V power supply with a two-wire current transformer and (2) an AC 85V to 250V single power supply with a three-wire current transformer. The maximum rated power is 11A, applicable to three-phase load operation of alternating current (AC).

Working Principal

The E5LC-6 works on the principle of projection current. First, it detects the current waveforms from the three-phase load using the current transformer. This waveforms are then converted into the digital signals. With the A/D converter, the analog current signal is transferred and processed and then converted into the digital signal. Then, the analog signal is further processed by the digital signal processing circuitry and passed to the logic circuit. Finally, the seven-digit display output circuitry is engaged with all the suitable logic signals to convert the digital signals into display form.

Application

The E5LC-6 is suitable for most industrial measuring and monitoring applications. It is useful in monitoring and controlling the current of three-phase devices such as electric motors, transformers, generators, and pumps.
