EC95R102W is one of the most important components in the temperature sensing field and it is widely used for measuring temperature in various applications. Application Field

The EC95R102W NTC Thermistor is typically used to measure temperatures in the range of -50°C to +150°C and can also be used to measure temperatures up to +200°C. Working Principle

The EC95R102W is an NTC Thermistor, which works by measuring the resistance of a temperature-sensitive material in response to changes in temperature. The material is usually a ceramic with a metallic oxides such as cobalt, chromium, manganese and nickel. NTC Thermistors are very sensitive to even small changes in temperature and have a high output voltage. The EC95R102W is constructed from a thermistor material and two terminal pins are used for its operating connection.

When the EC95R102W is connected to a power source, the thermistor material acts as a resistor, and the voltage across it is determined by the current flowing through it. As the temperature changes, the resistance of the thermistor material changes as well. This changes the voltage across the thermistor and this variation in voltage is proportional to the change in temperature. Therefore, by measuring the voltage at the terminals we can accurately measure the temperature.

On the other hand, the EC95R102W is also used as a temperature switch, which turns a circuit ON/OFF when the measured temperature reaches a certain set point. When the measured temperature exceeds the set point, the resistance of the thermistor increases, which in turn switches the circuit OFF. This is the temperature switch function of the EC95R102W.

The EC95R102W is also ideal for use in other applications such as temperature control systems, temperature sensors, temperature limiters, and temperature correction systems. The advantages of using the EC95R102W include its low cost, small size, long life, and excellent stability.
