Electric Double Layer Capacitors (EDLCs), also known as supercapacitors, are a type of device that bridges the gap between traditional electrolytic capacitors and rechargeable batteries. Unlike electrolytic capacitors, EDLCs can store a much larger amount of energy in a much smaller package.
