The EFR32MG12P432F1024GM68-CR RF transceiver IC is a System-in-Package part that combines an integrated proprietary RF transceiver with a low-noise amplifier and a 24-bit ARM Cortex-M4 processor into a single package. It is designed to reduce cost and improve system miniaturization while offering very high performance.
The transceiver is fully integrated into the package and requires no external components. This is supported by the integrated on-chip auto-calibration and calibration memory, standalone RF synthesizers, supporting frequency hopping and high speed channel switching, and integrated power amplifiers for optimal transmit power and receive sensitivity.
The EFR32MG12P432F1024GM68-CR supports a wide range of frequency bands from 8.5 GHz to 10.3 GHz covering the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and sub-GHz frequency bands. This makes the IC suitable for a variety of applications, from wireless sensing and tracking, industrial remote control, and satellite communications, to automotive and medical applications. It also provides high performance data transfer, communication, monitoring, and control.
The IC offers several different modulation types including BPSK, QPSK, and 16-QAM. It is powered by a 9V voltage source and consumes 2.5mA in active mode and 0.3mA in sleep mode. Its single-sided signaling architecture reduces power consumption during the idle period, making it ideal for battery powered applications.
