The board is supported by many other development software packages, such as GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) or Keil Microcontroller Development Environment (MDK-ARM).

The EKC-LM3S811 board is based on the Tiva TM4C123GH6PM microcontroller and is a great choice for developing cost effective high performance embedded applications. The powerful ARM Cortex-M3 up to 80MHz, integrated 32-bit Floating Point Unit, the rich peripheral set, ARM \'TrustZone\' and \'MPAU\' technology make this an ideal platform for working with the Tiva C Series MCU.

The on-board power management system allows to quickly and easily configure the power options of the microcontroller such as the voltage regulation, internal clocks and external oscillators. The power management block allows easy configuration of the power options of the microcontroller. It can be used for low power designs or to maximize the functionality of the microcontroller. The board also features a two-battery system that provides the microcontroller with the flexibility to be powered by one or two standard batteries.
