EL5144CW-T7 is a complete high-performance, high-speed current feedback, operational amplifier. It is a member of Texas Instruments’ EL5000 family of precision amplifiers, which combines high speed, wide bandwidth, low offset voltage, excellent gain accuracy and low-noise operation. This product is suitable for a wide range of applications, including LED feedback and control, audio, motion control, televisions, digital cameras, and telecommunications.

The EL5144CW-T7 belongs to linear – amplifiers – instrumentation, OP Amps, buffer Amps; due to its high performance and high speed. The EL5144CW-T7 provides a rail-to-rail output voltage swing while connected to a single supply, making it ideal for single supply applications and providing high output current capability. An internal compensation capacitor provides exceptional stability and minimizes the possibility of large-signal oscillation. It also features low distortion, wide bandwidth and low noise, allowing it to maintain a high level of performance in demanding, high-frequency applications.

In addition to its wide range of features, the EL5144CW-T7 has a low power consumption (1mA, typical) and is available in a small (MSOP8) package, making it suitable for a variety of space-restricted and low-power applications. The EL5144CW-T7 is also designed to operate over a wide temperature range (–40 °C to +85 °C) and is rated for operation at maximum input voltages of ±15 V.

The EL5144CW-T7 is a versatile operational amplifier with many applications in industrial, automotive and consumer environments. Its high-speed current feedback circuitry provides excellent unity-gain bandwidth (3.3MHz, typical) and enable fast settling times. The EL5144CW-T7 works on the basic principle of a voltage controlled current source applied in series with a feedback resistor to form an operational amplifier. This operational amplifier has a high common-mode rejection ratio and a low input impedance, which allows for excellent noise rejection. Its output is determined by the difference in voltage between its two terminals. The output voltage will be proportional to the difference between the two inputs and the output current will be proportional to the input current.
