ELFP11110 application field and working principle

ELFP11110 is a Terminal Blocks - Headers/Plugs/Sockets-style connector developed by Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and named after their own “Elkesse” brand. It’s a two-way pluggable design, which is widely used in the ECS/EMS/SCADA Digital Bus Architecture field.

Application field

The ELFP11110 Terminal Blocks - Headers/Sockets/Plugs have two widely-used application fields. One is used in ECS-type digital buses, such as digital bus systems, Single Ended Bus (SEB-type) or/and Digital Serial Bus (DSEB-type) Systems. It can also be used in EMS-type pluggable optical fiber and electrical bus systems. Both the ECS and EMS bus systems can be used for data acquisition in industrial processes, conveyors, industrial networks, machine control, and robotics systems.

Working Principle

ELFP11110 connectors have two main parts: the plug bodies and the sockets. The plug bodies contain two metal prongs, which mate with the two sockets at the opposite end.
