ELT3061 is an optoisolator triac, SCR output module from Unitronics. It is designed to provide digitized control for all types of load switches, as well as phase control in motor speed control applications. The ELT3061 is based on a photoelectric coupling of triac, SCR output module which utilizes a low cost, highly efficient infrared light emitting diode (LED) coupled to a photo-conductive transistor. The ELT3061 also has an integrated temperature compensation circuit to ensure that the LED’s and Photo-transistor are accurately matched in temperature dependent applications.
The ELT3061 module can be used with temperature sensors for temperature control applications. It also features an onboard line voltage detector with a maximum reset capability that allows the detection of a low voltage value while simultaneously resetting the system. The ELT3061 can be configured to operate either in half control or in full control mode, depending on the application requirements.
A major application of ELT3061 is in phase control for motor speed control applications. It is used to switch the direction of the current by regulating the voltage applied to the motor.
