The EP7311-IB is a single-chip RISC embedded microprocessor with integrated system peripherals. It was manufactured by Cirrus Logic and is designed to provide system designers with design flexibility, cost savings, and a standard I/O interface. By integrating all the essential components onto the one chip, it reduces circuit board size, simplifies power source and connectors, and minimizes software development time for system designers.

The EP7311-IB is widely used in embedded applications such as digital consumer products, office automation, industrial control and embedded communication systems. The device is embedded with the ARM920T high performance processor, 16 KiB SRAM, 512 KiB EPROM, 46 I/Olines, 4 SPI/SCI serial ports, 2 USB ports, a 10-bit ADC, and a PWM. It also features an integrated memory controller, an integrated power management and monitoring unit, an integrated power-on reset and an audio playback line.

The working principle of the EP7311-IB is that it has a 32-bit ARM processor running an operating system such as uC/OS-II or VxWorks, with integrated peripherals and external memory and I/O support.
