Embedded CPLDs, or complex programmable logic devices, are a class of programmable logic devices designed specifically for use in embedded systems. The EPM1270M256C5N is a 128 macrocell, 5volt CMOS CPLD (Configurable Complex Logic Device) that offers increased density, reduced power consumption, and added system performance for a wide range of embedded applications.

The EPM1270M256C5N features a low active power of 83mW/128macrocells at a supply voltage of 3.3V, a total gate count of 2048, and a mailbox register with independent write, read and acknowledge ports.
